Hello and welcome to my virtual portfolio!

I'm Eva and I am a writer, editor, and artist based in Brooklyn, NY. I graduated from NYU with a degree in Creative Non-fiction Writing and Cultural Criticism and I love to write everything from personal essays to film reviews, features, profiles, and more. Most of my professional experience is in editing, though I am always looking for opportunities to share my work with the world. I have worked in a variety of settings which have allowed me to explore the different corners of the writing and editing industries. I was the editor-in-chief of Embodied Magazine, an arts and culture publication out of NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized study; I interned at Tessler Literary Agency where I read, reviewed, and edited book queries and full length manuscripts; I have contributed as a writer to multiple online and print publications; most recently, I worked as an assistant workshop instructor at Writopia Lab's 2023 summer camp. Through these various writing and editing experiences, I've fallen in love with the art of revision and I hope to continue working intimately with this form of storytelling in the future!

 

Outside of my love for writing and editing, I have a hankering to create in general! I love to draw, knit, take photos, paint, make comics, play music, and cook. I see writing as my greatest tool for self expression and want to wield it any chance I have to do so!
